Group Action

SunsetMarland Law acts for landowners affected by soil and groundwater contamination caused by the underground coal gasification pilot facility at Hopeland, Qld operated by Linc Energy (Linc) between 1999 and 2013 and are preparing a group action against Linc and the State of Queensland.

The proposed causes of action are in negligence and private nuisance. In either case, the proposed claim is for damages for diminution in value of land and also loss of opportunity to earn future profits from primary production.
